The International Atomic Energy Agency is organising an INIS Training Seminar from 9 to 13 October 2017 at its Headquarters in Vienna, Austria. The purpose of the seminar is to train participants on input preparation for the International Nuclear Information System (INIS), the utilization of INIS products and services, and the promotion of INIS. The seminar is intended for information specialists from national INIS Centres who are directly involved in the operation and use of INIS.
The programme of the seminar will concentrate on all aspects of input preparation for INIS, indexing and classification, submission of non-conventional literature (NCL), searching the INIS repository, and INIS current and future IT developments.
The training course will consist of lectures in the form of presentations and topical practical sessions, followed by discussions. The course will also consists of hands-on training using computer training facilities.
